"During the past month we have lost 2 of our loyal members at St Andrew's... Mrs Emma Oakes died peacefully in Leighton Hospital. She has been a member of the old Central Church, and in her younger days was very active in the many events that took place there. She was one of the "ministering women" to whom the church will always owe a debt of gratitude. To both of these bereaved families we offer our love and sympathy.
