Narrative
John Culley was born and married in Cricklade, Wiltshire. His first two children were born in Cricklade but between 1862 and 1866 when the next child was born the family moved some 60 miles to the small village of Farrington Gurney in Wiltshire.
John seems to have been an agricultural labourer most of his life but by 1901, when he was 67 years old he was a "labourer on roads" living with Hannah his wife at Rush Hill, Farrington Gurney.
