Narrative
It seems Thomas died before the 1901 census. Sarah, his widow, was living in Lilbourne.
Marina Hughes says "He ran his own butcher's shop in Lilbourne and would kill and dress all his own meat. He died as a result of holding the knife in his mouth when he was pulling the skin off the meat. He also ran the Bell Inn in Lilbourne which is no longer there.
